The annual Parks christmas party!

We had alot of fun at the party this year, we definatley noticed the absence of Shantel and Shad's families, Easton had seen one of my grandmas relatives who had a white beard and therefore thought he was Santa. It was the funniest thing, he sat there patting his santa's belly, giving him hugs, and telling him what he wanted for Christmas. He was never far from Santa's side.

It was fun to get together with family that we dont get to see that often to just talk and find out what everyone has been up to. I think more than any other holiday Christmas is the hardest having our family so far away. At least we have our blogs so we can see what they are up to also!

My parents have had the ugliest fireplace in their basement for the longest time. Its finally coming down!

Eggie!

Of course anyone who knows me knows that I have to have something about my pets on here! This is our conure parrot Eggbert. He is a very spoiled little bird and he knows it! One of his favorite things to do is take showers with Craig. He loves to sit on Craigs' shoulder and get splashed by the water. Afterwards he wants you to cuddle with him so he can get warm.

He makes "kisses" sounds and will come up and give you a kiss. Sometimes if he bites you and you say ouch he will start to laugh or if we are laughing he will join in.

He is very shy with strangers and loves to bite them! The only person he hasn't bit is my dad, they seem to like each other although my dad wont admit it. He has made it very fun at our house, I have never seen a bird with such a strong personality! We are a happy little family!

Our 1st Anniversary!

For our 1st Anniversary we thought we would do something romantic so we booked a room at the Anniversary Inn. We stayed in the Phantom of the Opera room which was very nice.

We started our day off by going and seeing the movie 'Nights in Rodathe'. I loved it but it was torture for Craig. I think the only thing he did enjoy was the popcorn:) After that we had a yummy lunch at Red Robin.

We decided we would head downtown to find where the hotel was. After we found it we went to check out what restaurants were around there since we had some time til we could check in.

It was so neat to walk into a room that made you feel like you were on your own little vacation. It had a bathtub for two, I think Craig an I would agree that that was the nicest part of the whole room . After we got settled in we decided to go and get take out for dinner at Cafe Rio.

It was a wonderful night just laying in bed and watching movies all night, Iron Man and Prom Night (I know, romantic) and then be able to take a hot bath.... Until the food posioning kicked in. Finally about about 1:30 a.m. we just wanted to go home. The receptionist was nice enough to let us check out and open up the parking garage so we could leave. Despite getting sick, it was so much fun to get away together. I wouldn't have done it any other way!

We thought we would give this blogging stuff a try as a way to keep in touch with our family who abandoned us. First of all my name is Laci, my husband Craig and I have been married 1 year today! We celebrated by staying at the Anniversary Inn which was very fun and romantic. Doing this with me is my mom Tracy and dad Steve. Its been raining all day here in Utah so we figured this would keep us busy. We will be putting more pictures on throughout the next couple of days, once we figure out how to do everything.
